Ingredients

  • 400 g of minced beef
  • 200 g of minced kidneys
  • 200 g of potatoes
  • 100 g of onion
  • 200 ml of beef broth
  • 100 ml of red wine
  • 200 g of puff pastry
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 g of butter
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 100 g of chopped parsley
  • 100 g of grated cheese

Method

  1. In a large pan, mix the minced beef and kidneys with the beef broth, red wine, garlic, salt, and pepper. Cook on medium heat for 30 minutes.
  2. Dice the potatoes and cook in salted water for 15 minutes. Drain and add to the beef, kidneys, and onions.
  3. In a skillet, sauté the garlic and onion in butter. Add the beef, kidneys, and potatoes. Cook for 10 minutes.
  4. Lay the puff pastry as the base of the pie, add the meat mixture, cover with another layer of pastry, and brush with beaten eggs.
  5. Make a few cuts on the surface of the pie to allow the sauce to release. Bake in the oven at 180°C for 40 minutes.
  6. Serve hot with fried onions and chopped parsley.
