Ingredients

  • 250 g of hard wheat flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 300 ml of cold water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Olive oil for frying
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 onion
  • 200 g of smoked bacon
  • 100 g of grated cheese

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, eggs, cold water, and salt until you get a homogeneous dough.
  2. Cover the bowl with a cotton cloth and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Using a colander, form small balls of dough, then pass them through a sieve to get the spätzle.
  4. Fry the spätzle in a pan with hot oil until they become golden brown.
  5. In a skillet, melt the butter and add the oil, then sauté the onion and bacon.
  6. Add the cheese, mix well, and then add the spätzle.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve hot.
  8. Enjoy your meal!
