Ingredients

  • 200 ml of yogurt
  • 200 ml of milk
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 2 red bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 dried chili
  • 3-4 tablespoons of coriander
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • 10-12 slices of fried bread
  • 1 tablespoon of cashews

Method

  1. In a pot, mix the yogurt and milk. Add the chopped onions and bell peppers, and cook on medium heat for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Add the dried chili and coriander, stir well, and let infuse for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Turn off the heat and add the sugar and salt. Stir well.
  4. In a pan, fry the slices of fried bread in hot oil.
  5. In a bowl, mix the cashews by gently rubbing them.
  6. Serve the kadhi in a warm bowl, followed by a slice of fried bread and a bit of cashews.
  7. Tasty and spiced, the Sindhi Kadhi is ready to be enjoyed.
