Ingredients

  • 200 gr of dried beans
  • 200 gr of mixed vegetables (zucchini, squash, bell peppers, onion)
  • 500 ml of water
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 onions
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper
  • 1 cube of vegetable broth

Method

  1. Rinse the dried beans thoroughly and soak them in water with salt for 1-2 hours.
  2. Cut the vegetables into pieces and sauté them in a pan with olive oil.
  3. Fry the vegetables for 5-7 minutes until they are soft.
  4. Add the cooked beans and vegetable broth, cover, and cook for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste, mix well, and serve hot.
  6. Serving suggestion: Siga Misir can be served as a first course or as a side dish with meat or fish.
