Ingredients

  • 200g fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 150g ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons hot water
  • 4 sheets of Chinese cabbage leaves for wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 3 tablespoons dry sherry
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Shell and devein the shrimp, then chop them into small pieces.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef with chopped shrimp, hot water, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sherry. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  3. Cut out small wrappers from the Chinese cabbage leaves by soaking them in warm water to make them pliable.
  4. Place a spoonful of filling on each wrapper, delicately fold into a triangle or square shape, and seal edges with hot water.
  5. Bring a large pot of water to boil, add dumplings, and cook for about 5-7 minutes until they float to the surface.
