A delicious combination of fried shrimp and crispy polenta, a staple of South Carolina cuisine.

Ingredients
- 300g of grits
- 100g of butter
- 100g of onion
- 200g of fresh shrimp
- 100ml of milk
- 100ml of fish broth
- 100g of grated cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for frying
- 100g of cornmeal
- Peach slices
Method
- In a pot, cook the grits with boiling water for about 20 minutes. Add the milk and fish broth, then stir and let cool.
- Meanwhile, slice the onion and sauté it with the butter in a pan.
- Add the shrimp and fry until golden brown.
- In a bowl, mix the grits with the cheese, salt, and pepper.
- In a pan, fry the cornmeal in oil to give a crispy taste.
- Serve the grits in a bowl, add the fried shrimp on top and decorate with peach slices.
