Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 150 g sugar
  • 100 g flour
  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 100 g butter
  • 100 g rum
  • 100 g cocoa powder
  • 200 g mascarpone cheese
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 300 g cherries
  • 100 g marzipan
  • 100 g cherry liqueur

Method

  1. Beat the eggs and sugar until you get a light cream.
  2. In a second bowl, mix the flour and cocoa powder.
  3. Combine the cream with the eggs and gently fold in the dry ingredients.
  4. Add the butter and rum, mix well, and pour the mixture into a baking dish.
  5. Bake the cake in the oven at 180°C for about 30 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, prepare the mascarpone cream: mix the cream and mascarpone with powdered sugar.
  7. Prepare the marzipan and cherry liqueur for the decorations.
  8. Prepare the cherries and chocolate fondant.
  9. Assemble the cake with the cream, cherries, chocolate, and marzipan.
