Ingredients

  • 400g of calamari
  • 100g of flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 300ml of olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Chopped parsley
  • Red pepper flakes
  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 200g of ripe tomatoes

Method

  1. Clean the calamari by removing the internal part and cutting them into rings about 1 cm thick.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour and eggs, adding salt to taste.
  3. Fry the calamari slices in hot oil until they become golden brown.
  4. In another bowl, mix the balsamic vinegar, chopped parsley, red pepper flakes, garlic, and olive oil.
  5. Peel and chop the onion and garlic into small cubes, then fry them in hot oil.
  6. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook for a few minutes.
  7. Serve the fried calamari with the tomato sauce and balsamic vinegar sauce.
  8. Alternatively, the calamari can be served with the tomato sauce and balsamic vinegar sauce on a separate plate.
