Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, Berlin's traditional Reibekuchen are a delightful treat.

Ingredients
- 300g of flour
- 100g of butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 200g of Philadelphia cheese
- 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup of liquid cream
- 1/2 cup of raisins
- 1/2 cup of ground almonds
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
Method
- Prepare the dough: mix the flour, butter, egg, sugar, and salt.
- Add the cheese, cream, almonds, raisins, and vanilla extract.
- Form small dough balls and drop them into boiling water for 2-3 minutes.
- Drain and let dry.
- Roll the dough balls in powdered sugar and bake in an oven at 180°C for 15-20 minutes.
- Serve warm.

Reibekuchen originated in Berlin as a way to use up old bread, transforming it into a sweet pastry.
