Porotos con Riendas
A traditional Maule dish, rich in protein and featuring a delicious combination of beans and meat.

Ingredients
- 200 g of soy beans
- 200 g of sheep meat cut into pieces
- 1 onion
- 2 carrots
- 2 cucumbers
- 1 zucchini
- 200 g of potatoes
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 200 ml of meat broth
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon of chili powder
Method
- In a pot, cook the soy beans with meat broth for about 30 minutes until they are tender.
- In a skillet, sauté the garlic and onion in a mix of oil and butter.
- Add the sheep meat and cook until it is well done.
- Dice the onion, carrots, cucumbers, and zucchini.
- Add the vegetables to the skillet with the meat and cook for a few minutes.
- Add the beans, potatoes, salt, pepper, and chili powder, stir well and let cook for another 15-20 minutes.
- Serve hot, accompanied by toasted bread.
