  • 4 pork belly chops
  • 1 kg of apples
  • 1 onion
  • 100 ml of lemon juice
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 100 ml of water
  • 30 g of butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 mint leaves

Method

  1. Prepare the pork belly chops by cutting the skin and fat into smaller pieces.
  2. Fry the pork belly chops in a pan with a little oil until they are crispy.
  3. Peel and cut the apples into cubes, then put them in a pot with water, lemon juice, sugar, and add salt and pepper.
  4. Bring to a boil and reduce heat, simmering on medium heat for about 40 minutes.
  5. In a pan, melt the butter and add the chopped onion, cooking for a few minutes.
  6. Add the cooked apples and mint leaves, mix well and let it warm up.
  7. Serve the crispy pork belly chops hot with the apple sauce.
