Ingredients
- 4 pork belly chops
- 1 kg of apples
- 1 onion
- 100 ml of lemon juice
- 100 g of sugar
- 100 ml of water
- 30 g of butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 mint leaves
Method
- Prepare the pork belly chops by cutting the skin and fat into smaller pieces.
- Fry the pork belly chops in a pan with a little oil until they are crispy.
- Peel and cut the apples into cubes, then put them in a pot with water, lemon juice, sugar, and add salt and pepper.
- Bring to a boil and reduce heat, simmering on medium heat for about 40 minutes.
- In a pan, melt the butter and add the chopped onion, cooking for a few minutes.
- Add the cooked apples and mint leaves, mix well and let it warm up.
- Serve the crispy pork belly chops hot with the apple sauce.
