Pemmican Bread
This traditional Canadian pemmican bread, rich in protein and fats, is perfect for expeditions and outdoor activities.

Ingredients
- 250 g of wheat flour
- 200 g of pemmican
- 100 g of butter
- 100 g of cane sugar
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 2 eggs
- 50 g of chopped almonds
- 50 g of raisins
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
Method
- In a large bowl, mix the wheat flour, pemmican, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, melt the butter and cane sugar, stirring well.
- Add the eggs to the butter and sugar mixture, beating until smooth and homogeneous.
- Gradually incorporate the flour and pemmican mixture from step 1 into the egg and butter mixture.
- Finally, add the chopped almonds and raisins, gently folding them in.
- Shape the dough into loaf shapes and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 45-50 minutes, until golden brown.
