Ingredients

  • 400 g of cornmeal
  • 3 liters of chicken broth
  • 1 onion
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 spring onions
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 tomato
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon of chili
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger
  • 1 tablespoon of coriander
  • 1 tablespoon of fried onion

Method

  1. In a pot, mix the cornmeal with the warm chicken broth until you get a smooth paste.
  2. Add the olive oil and fried onion, stirring well.
  3. Chop the onion, carrots, green pepper, and tomato into cubes.
  4. Add the vegetables to the pot and stir well.
  5. Bring to a boil and cook for 20-25 minutes, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. In another pot, cook the coriander and chili in a bit of oil.
  7. Pour the coriander and chili into the soup and stir.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fried spring onions.
