Ojingoguk (Squid Soup)
A warm and flavorful ojingoguk, Ulsan’s traditional squid soup, is perfect for a cold day.

Ingredients
- 500 g of squid
- 200 ml of soybean oil
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 300 ml of chicken broth
- 100 ml of onion sauté
- 50 g of red peppers
- 100 ml of soy sauce
- 50 g of ginger
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon of red pepper powder
Method
- Clean and cut the squid into small pieces.
- In a pan, heat the soybean oil and sauté the garlic and onion.
- Add the squid and cook for 5 minutes.
- In a pot, mix the chicken broth, onion sauté, soy sauce, pepper, and ginger.
- Bring to a boil and pour the mixture into the pan with the squid.
- Cook for another 10 minutes, adding salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot with a sprinkle of garlic powder and red pepper powder on top.
