Ingredients

  • 500 g of beef
  • 2 onions
  • 100 g of toasted bread
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon of thyme
  • 1 tablespoon of parsley
  • Salt and pepper
  • 200 ml of oil
  • 100 ml of red wine
  • 100 ml of beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons of cooked onion
  • 2 tablespoons of flour

Method

  1. Mix the meat, chopped onions, toasted bread, egg, thyme, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  2. Form small meatballs.
  3. Fry the meatballs in a pan with oil until golden brown.
  4. In a saucepan, simmer the red wine and beef broth to make the sauce.
  5. In a bowl, mix the flour with oil and gradually add the wine sauce to form a smooth sauce.
  6. Add the cooked onions and cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Serve the meatballs with the brown sauce.
