Ingredients

  • 400g of minced beef
  • 2 onions
  • 4 potatoes
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 250g of gruyère cheese
  • 10 sheets of phyllo dough
  • oil for frying
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 100g of zucchini
  • 100g of carrots
  • 100g of shallots

Method

  1. Cut the beef into small pieces and fry in a pan with a bit of oil. Add the chopped onions and cook until the beef is well done.
  2. Peel and thinly slice the potatoes. Soak the potato slices in water to remove excess starch and dry them with a towel.
  3. Thinly slice the zucchini, carrots, and shallots.
  4. In a baking dish, layer the potatoes, then the beef, then the zucchini, carrots, and shallots. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
  5. Cover with a generous amount of chopped tomatoes and a bit of salt and pepper.
  6. Cover with phyllo dough cut into pieces and fry in hot oil until golden brown.
  7. Grate the gruyère cheese over the phyllo and bake in the oven at 180°C for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is golden and everything is cooked.
