A traditional dish from the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, Mishwy is a aromatic and crunchy delight.

Ingredients
- 1 kg of lamb or beef
- 2 onions
- 1 red onion
- 2 dates
- 1 chili pepper
- 1 teaspoon of saffron
- 300 ml of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 200 g of toasted bread
- Water for boiling
Method
- Cut the meat into small pieces and boil it in salted water for 30 minutes.
- In a medium pan, sauté the oil with the garlic, peppers, and chili pepper over medium heat.
- Add the onions and meat, and cook over medium heat for 1 hour.
- While the meat is cooking, cut the dates into pieces and set aside.
- Infuse the saffron in hot water for 10 minutes.
- Add the saffron and infused water to the meat, stir, and cook for another 15 minutes.
- Cut the toasted bread into pieces and set aside.
- Serve the meat on a plate, followed by pieces of bread and dates.
- Briefly fry the toasted bread in hot oil and add it to the plate.
