A traditional dish from Sarawak, Mee Rebus is a noodle dish cooked in salty water with a robust broth and spicy seasonings.

Ingredients
- 500 g of rice vermicelli
- 1 liter of water
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 chili
- 200 g of vegetables (carrots, onions, bell peppers)
- 100 ml of coconut oil
- 100 ml of soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon of chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons of chopped coriander
Method
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil with crushed garlic and chili. Add the rice vermicelli and cook for 10-15 minutes, or until al dente.
- In a separate pan, sauté the coconut oil with finely chopped garlic and onion.
- Add the vegetables and cook for 5-7 minutes, until the vegetables are soft.
- Add the vegetable broth, soy sauce, and chili powder. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes.
- Drain the pasta and add the vegetable broth and vegetables to the pasta basket. Add chopped coriander and lemon juice.
- Serve hot and garnish with fresh coriander.
