Mee Jawa
A traditional dish from Johor, Mee Jawa is a delightful noodle cooked in a robust and spicy broth.

Ingredients
- 200g spaghetti
- 200g shrimp
- 100g beef
- 2 red bell peppers
- 2 onions
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 teaspoon chili
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 300ml fish stock
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon tomato sauce
- Olive oil
Method
- In a large pan, heat the olive oil and sauté the onions and garlic until golden.
- Add the chili and coriander, then add the chopped red bell peppers.
- Mix the shrimp and beef in a bowl and add to the pan, cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in the fish stock and add the soy sauce and tomato sauce, stir well and let it boil for 5 minutes.
- Cook the spaghetti in a separate pot, then add the spaghetti to the broth and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Serve the Mee Jawa hot, garnished with sliced bell peppers.
