Ingredients

  • 100 g of mawa
  • 200 g of dried fruit (almonds, walnuts, pistachios)
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 100 ml of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cardamom
  • 100 g of flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 100 g of butter
  • 100 g of pulled sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of water

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix the mawa with the milk and sugar until you get a creamy consistency.
  2. Add the vanilla, cinnamon, and cardamom and mix well.
  3. In another bowl, mix the flour with the egg and gradually add it to the previous mixture.
  4. Add the oil and mix until you get a homogeneous consistency.
  5. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and bake in an oven at 180°C for 20-25 minutes.
  6. Let it cool and decorate with pulled sugar and dried fruit.
  7. Serve warm or cold.

Mawa Kajoor is a traditional sweet from the Balochistan region of Pakistan, dating back to ancient times, made with local ingredients such as mawa, a thick and aromatic cream.
