Ma'amoul
Ma'amoul are traditional Arab sweets, rich in aroma and coated with sugar syrup.

Ingredients
- 250 g of flour
- 100 g of butter
- 100 g of sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 50 g of semolina
- 100 g of sesame seeds
- 100 g of sugar syrup
- 1 tablespoon of warm water
Method
- Mix the flour, semolina, baking powder, and melted butter in a bowl, add the warm water and egg, and form a homogeneous dough.
- Divide the dough into small balls and form small balls, coating them with sesame seeds.
- Repeat the same process with the remaining dough.
- Preheat the oven and bake the ma'amoul for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
- In a pan, mix the sugar and water, bring to a boil and prepare the sugar syrup.
- Dip the ma'amoul in the sugar syrup and let them rest for 2 hours before serving.
The story
Ma'amoul were introduced to the Middle East and North Africa by the Arabs and have become a symbol of local culinary traditions.
