Ingredients

  • 250 g of fresh cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of rum (optional)
  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of confectioners' sugar
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil
  • Cold water for cooking

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix the fresh cheese, eggs, sugar, honey, and optional rum. Add the flour and mix until you get a smooth batter.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan. Use a spoon to drop small portions of the batter into the hot oil, forming small crostatas.
  3. Fry the crostatas until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Drain the crostatas on paper towels and dust with confectioners' sugar.
  5. Serve warm with additional honey if desired.
  6. Let them cool and enjoy!

The story
