A classic of Chinese cuisine, Lanzhou beef noodles are a refreshing and flavorful dish.

Ingredients
- 200 g of beef noodles
- 500 g of beef sirloin
- 2 onions
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of chili powder
- 1 tablespoon of ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon of fresh chili, chopped
- 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons of tomato sauce
- to taste salt
- 2 cups of beef broth
Method
- Cut the beef sirloin into small pieces and set aside.
- In a pan, sauté the green onions and garlic in sunflower oil.
- Add the beef and cook until well done.
- While the beef is cooking, prepare the sauce by mixing soy sauce, chili powder, ginger, rice vinegar, tomato sauce, and salt.
- Add the sauce to the beef and stir well.
- In a bowl, put the beef noodles and pour the beef broth over them.
- Serve the beef in a bowl with the noodles soaked in the broth.
- Sprinkle fresh chili on top before serving.
The story
Lanzhou beef noodles originated in Lanzhou, Gansu province, and are said to have been invented in the 19th century as a way to use up abundant beef.
