- 1 kg of kransekage dough
- 400 g of sugar
- 100 ml of water
- 100 g of pulled sugar
- 100 ml of custard
- 100 g of dark chocolate
- 100 g of almonds
- 100 g of hazelnuts
- 100 g of pistachios
- 100 g of chocolate cones
- 100 g of chocolate stars
- 100 g of chocolate hearts
Method
- Prepare the kransekage dough according to the package instructions and let it rest.
- Form the dough into concentric circles, starting with the largest and ending with the smallest.
- Fry the circles in hot oil until golden, then let them cool.
- Cook the caramel by mixing sugar and water in a pan over medium heat until it takes on a beautiful golden color.
- Add the custard to the caramel and mix well.
- Decorate the kransekage circles with caramel and various chocolate shapes.
- Finally, decorate with almonds, hazelnuts, and pistachios.
- Let it cool and serve.
