Kkanbu Gui (Roasted Eel)

A traditional Incheon dish, Kkanbu Gui is a culinary masterpiece that blends aroma and flavor.

Ingredients
- 4 eels
- 200 g of sesame oil
- 100 g of pumpkin seed oil
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of pepper oil
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon of ginger, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 bay leaves
- A sprinkle of water
Method
- Clean the eels and boil their sides in boiling water for 10 minutes.
- Prepare the sauce by mixing the sesame oil, pumpkin seed oil, soy sauce, pepper oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, chopped onion, chopped ginger, salt, and pepper.
- In a pan, add the sauce and chopped onion, bringing it to a boil.
- Add the eel sides to the sauce and cook for 20 minutes.
- Finally, add the bay leaves and a sprinkle of water, cover, and cook on low heat for 30 minutes.
- Serve hot.
