Kibbeh with Basaleek and Olives

A traditional Lebanese dish, Kibbeh Bil Basaleek Bi Zaytoun combines the crunch of Basaleek with the sweetness of kibbeh and the saltiness of olives.

Ingredients
- 200 g of kibbeh
- 100 g of basaleek
- 100 g of halved olives
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 lemon
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
Method
- Prepare the kibbeh by cutting it into small pieces and set aside.
- Slice the onion thinly and sauté it in a little olive oil.
- Add the kibbeh pieces and sauté for a few minutes.
- Add the apple cider vinegar, salt, pepper, bay leaf, and lemon juice.
- Cook for another 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently.
- In another pan, cook the basaleek in boiling water for 3-5 minutes.
- Drain the basaleek and add it to the kibbeh.
- Finally, add the olive pieces and mix well.
- Serve hot with a little sugar sprinkled on top.
