Ingredients
- 300g of sugar
- 200ml of water
- 100g of sesame seeds
- 100g of almonds
- 100g of hazelnuts
- 100g of pistachios
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla powder
- Pinch of salt
- Oil for frying
Method
- In a pan, mix the sugar and water over medium heat until the sugar fully dissolves.
- Add the cinnamon, vanilla, and salt, mix well.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and continue cooking over medium heat until the liquid expands and forms a paste.
- Fry the paste in hot oil in thin slices.
- Once fried, add the sesame seeds, almonds, hazelnuts, and pistachios, mix well to combine.
- Let it cool down, then cut the khlii into uniform pieces.
- Serving: khlii can be served fresh or stored in a closed container for several days.
