A sweet and creamy traditional dessert from Sindh, Khadi is a rich, creamy delight made with milk and sugar.

Ingredients
- 500 ml of milk
- 100 g of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla powder
- 1 teaspoon of cardamom powder
- 1 tablespoon of shredded sugar
- 1 tablespoon of crushed pistachios
- 1 tablespoon of grated lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
- 1 tablespoon of butter
Method
- In a saucepan, bring the milk, sugar, vanilla, cardamom, honey, and cinnamon to a boil.
- Continue to cook on medium heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the milk becomes creamy.
- Add the butter and shredded sugar, stirring well.
- Stop cooking and let it cool for 5-10 minutes.
- Pour into a serving dish decorated with lemon zest and crushed pistachios.
- Serve chilled for a creamier texture.

Khadi is a traditional dessert from the Sindh region of Pakistan, with roots tracing back to Mughal times. It has been a home-cooked dessert for generations but has also become a popular dish throughout Pakistan.
