Ingredients

  • 400 g of meat pieces (pork, lamb, or chicken)
  • 100 g of rice
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 onions
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of mint
  • 1 tablespoon of parsley
  • 100 g of Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon of white wine vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon of white wine vinegar

Method

  1. Prepare the meat marinade by mixing lemon juice, olive oil, salt, pepper, sugar, and a teaspoon of white wine vinegar.
  2. Soak the rice in water and add a teaspoon of white wine vinegar, then cook until fully cooked.
  3. Dice the onions and mix with mint, parsley, salt, pepper, and a teaspoon of white wine vinegar.
  4. Marinate the meat with the marinade for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Prepare the tzatziki by mixing Greek yogurt, mint, parsley, salt, sugar, and a teaspoon of white wine vinegar.
  6. Grill the meat on medium heat for 10-15 minutes or until fully cooked.
  7. Serve the meat with lemon rice and a side of tzatziki.
