Ingredients

  • 4 chicken pieces (about 500g)
  • 2 tablespoons of dried chili
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped coriander
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped basil
  • 2 limo leaves (optional)

Method

  1. Prepare the chicken by cutting off the legs and wings, then cut it into pieces of about 100g each.
  2. In a bowl, mix the dried chili, coconut oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, sugar, water, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the chopped onion and mix well.
  4. Add the chicken pieces to the sauce and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Grill the chicken pieces on a hot grill for 10-15 minutes, turning every 3-4 minutes.
  6. Before serving, add the chopped coriander, basil, and limo leaves.
  7. Serve hot with rice.
