Jachnun
Jachnun is a traditional Eilat sweet, rich in fragrance and flavor.

Ingredients
- 500 g of flour
- 200 ml of milk
- 100 g of sugar
- 100 g of butter
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 5 eggs
- 100 g of crushed almonds
- 100 g of chocolate in pieces
- 100 g of crushed walnuts
Method
- In a bowl, mix the flour, milk, sugar, butter, cinnamon, and vanilla until you get a homogeneous dough.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Form a thin cake on the baking pan and bake in the oven at 180°C for 30-40 minutes.
- Once out of the oven, let the cake cool, then add the crushed almonds, chocolate, and crushed walnuts.
- Cover the cake with a plastic sheet to prevent the chocolate from melting, and let it rest for 2 hours before serving.
- Cut the cake into portions and serve it warm or cold.
