Ingredients

  • 500 g of wheat flour
  • 200 g of potato flour
  • 100 g of honey
  • 200 ml of cold milk
  • 20 g of fresh yeast
  • 100 g of butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 50 g of sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon of warm water for the yeast

Method

  1. Mix the wheat flour, potato flour, salt, and yeast in a large bowl.
  2. In another bowl, mix the honey, cold milk, warm water for the yeast, and butter until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  3. Add the liquid mixture to the flour mixture and knead until you get a homogeneous dough.
  4. Cover the container with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, until the dough doubles in volume.
  5. Preheat the oven to 180°C and dust a baking tray with flour.
  6. Shape the dough into a loaf and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  7. Place the loaf in the oven and bake for about 45-50 minutes, until it is golden and sounds hollow when tapped.
  8. Let the bread cool before slicing and serving.
