Ingredients

  • 300 g of flour
  • 5 eggs
  • 200 ml of milk
  • 100 ml of oil
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • Granulated sugar for decoration
  • Apple compote for filling

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add the eggs and mix well.
  3. Stir in the milk and oil until you get a smooth consistency.
  4. Let the mixture rest for 30 minutes.
  5. On a non-stick pan, cook the crepes over medium heat, flipping them when they are golden brown.
  6. Stack the crepes with the apple compote and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy their exquisite taste.

The story

Palacsinta were introduced to Hungary by the Ottoman Turks and evolved into a popular culinary tradition during the Hungarian Kingdom period.
