Ingredients
- 4 pork cutlets
- 200 g of bread crumbs
- 100 g of stale bread crumbs
- 50 g of chopped parsley
- 50 g of chopped onion
- 4 eggs
- 100 g of butter
- salt and pepper to taste
- oil for frying
Method
- Prepare the pork cutlets, cutting each one in two parts.
- In a bowl, mix the bread crumbs, stale bread crumbs, chopped parsley, and chopped onion.
- In another bowl, dip the pork cutlets in beaten eggs.
- Transfer the egg-dipped cutlets to the bowl with the breadcrumb mixture and coat them thoroughly.
- In a frying pan, heat the oil and butter, then fry the cutlets over medium heat until the crust is golden brown.
- Serve hot, seasoned with salt and pepper to taste.
The story
Herrgårdsjulskinka, a traditional dish from the Örebro region, takes its name from the Herrgård castle, where it was originally served during Christmas feasts. This dish has been a symbol of celebration and togetherness for generations.
