This traditional Saxon dish combines the crunch of toasted bread with the creaminess of melted cheese, creating a delightful contrast between heaven and earth.

Ingredients
- 4 slices of toasted bread
- 200 g of grana cheese
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 onion
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 clove
Method
- Dice the onion and cut it into cubes. In a pan, sauté the onion in olive oil with salt and pepper. Add the honey, bay leaf, and clove. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Cut the cheese into cubes. Add the cheese to the pan with the onion and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C. In a baking dish, place the slices of toasted bread.
- Pour the cheese mixture over the slices of toasted bread. Cover with butter.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the cheese is completely melted and the bread is golden.
- Sprinkle with some parsley and serve immediately.
