Ingredients
- 1 kg of beef
- 500 g of lentils
- 2 onions
- 2 carrots
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 red pepper
- 1 liter of beef broth
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
- 1 teaspoon of cardamom powder
- 1 teaspoon of cumin powder
Method
- In a large pot, mix the meat, lentils, garlic, carrots, onions, red pepper, and beef broth.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 3 hours on low heat.
- Add the spices and cook for another hour until the meat and lentils are tender.
- Chop the onions and garlic and sauté them in a separate pan.
- Add the sautéed onions and garlic to the pot and stir well.
- Let it cool down and serve hot, accompanied by bread or rice.
