Gomen Tsebhi
A traditional Ethiopian dish of kale marinated in a spicy sauce.

Ingredients
- 400g of kale
- 100g of onion
- 50g of dried chili peppers
- 50ml of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of cubeb pepper
- 1 tablespoon of ginger
- 1 tablespoon of red pepper
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed to cook the kale
Method
- Wash the kale thoroughly and cut it into pieces.
- In a pan, sauté the olive oil with the onion and ginger.
- Add the dried chili peppers and cubeb pepper, cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the kale and cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
- Add enough water to cover the kale, add salt and red pepper.
- Cover and cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes, or until the kale is tender.
- Serve hot with bread or as a side dish with meat.
