Ingredients

  • 400 g of goat meat
  • 2 onions
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 cucumbers
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 liter of meat broth
  • 1 liter of water
  • 2 sage leaves
  • 1 thyme leaf
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 100 g of vermicelli

Method

  1. Cut the goat meat into small pieces and set aside.
  2. In a large pot, sauté the garlic in olive oil.
  3. Add the onions, carrots, and cucumbers, cut into cubes, and sauté for a few minutes.
  4. Add the goat meat and meat broth, bring to a boil, and let cook for 1 hour.
  5. Add the sage and thyme leaves, salt, and pepper, and let cook for another 30 minutes.
  6. Finally, add the vermicelli and cook for 10 minutes until al dente.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy your traditional Hedmark goat soup.
