This delightful Frikandelkoek is a crispy cruller with the taste of frikandel, a popular Belgian fried sausage.

Ingredients

  • 100 g of flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • 200 g of frikandel
  • 100 g of butter
  • Water for maintenance
  • Sugar for decoration

Method

  1. Prepare the dough: mix the flour, oil, salt, and sugar in a large bowl. Add the egg and mix well.
  2. Cut the frikandel into small pieces and add it to the dough, mixing until you get a homogeneous dough.
  3. Melt the butter in a frying pan and pour the dough, forming crullers about 2 cm in diameter.
  4. Fry the crullers in hot oil until they become golden. Drain with paper towels.
  5. Serve warm, decorated with a bit of sugar.
  6. Enjoy your meal!
