Ingredients

  • 250 g of flour
  • 100 g of butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 100 g of grated cheese
  • 100 g of smoked ham
  • 100 g of sweet potatoes
  • oil for frying
  • salt
  • pepper

Method

  1. Mix the flour, melted butter, egg, salt, and sugar until you get a homogeneous dough.
  2. Slice the sweet potatoes thinly and marinate them in salt and pepper.
  3. Add the smoked ham and grated cheese to the dough.
  4. Form small pastels with the dough.
  5. Fry the pastels in plenty of hot oil until golden and crispy.
  6. Drain them on paper to absorb excess oil.
  7. Serve hot with a sprinkle of salt and pepper to taste.
