The story
The Francesinha was born in 1960 in Porto when a customer at the Francesi bar, located on Via do Bispo de Lamego, asked the owner to prepare a dish with meat, sausage, and chicken, topped with a sauce and cheese. The name of the dish came from the fact that the orderer was an old friend of the owner, who called him 'Francesinho', and the dish became a success.
