A classic of Arab cuisine, Foul Al-Shami is a delicious mix of fava beans and vegetables.

Ingredients
- 200 g of fava beans
- 1 onion
- 1 chili pepper
- 2 dates
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of wine vinegar
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Sauces of your choice
Method
- Rinse the fava beans and cook them in salted water for about 30 minutes or until tender.
- Remove the skin from the fava beans and mash them.
- Heat the olive oil and chili pepper in a pan and sauté the onion until golden.
- Add the fava beans and dates, stir and add the wine vinegar.
- Pour the mixture into a serving dish and serve with your preferred sauces.
- Make sure it is well mixed and seasoned to taste.
