Fish with Chili Sauce

Ingredients
- 500 g of fresh sea fish (e.g., salmon or tuna)
- 100 g of green chili peppers
- 2 onions
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon of ground cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of sea water
Method
- Slice the green chili peppers thinly and grind the cayenne pepper.
- In a pan, heat the coconut oil and sauté the garlic cloves until they turn golden brown.
- Add the chili slices and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
- Cut the fish into pieces of similar size and add them to the pan with the sauce.
- Add the lemon juice, salt, sugar, pepper, soy sauce, and sea water.
- Stir well and cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, or until the fish is fully cooked.
- Serving: Serve immediately with the hot fish and warm sauce.
The story
Pla Rad Prik is a specialty of the Songkhla local cuisine in southern Thailand. The dish's name comes from the use of sea water in the sauce, giving the fish a unique and intense flavor.
