Fasching Kräpfen
This crispy and soft sweet treat is prepared during Carnival and offers a delightful experience of fried doughnuts filled with various sweet fillings.

Ingredients
- 300 g of flour
- 200 ml of milk
- 2 eggs
- 100 g of sugar
- 1 packet of yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- oil for frying
- 100 g of powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 100 g of dark chocolate
- 100 g of dried fruit
- 100 g of hazelnut cream
Method
- In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add the oil and mix until you get a dry dough.
- In another bowl, mix the milk, eggs, and sugar. Add the dough mixture and mix until you get a homogeneous dough.
- Let the dough rest for 30 minutes. Divide the dough into pieces and pass them through a ball-shaped pasta machine.
- Fry the dough pieces in plenty of hot oil until they turn golden. Drain and let them cool.
- Fill the kräpfen with dark chocolate, hazelnut cream, and dried fruit. Transfer the kräpfen to a plate with powdered sugar and dust them.
- Serve fresh and enjoy their crunchiness and sweetness.
