Ingredients

  • 250 g of flour
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 100 g of butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tea bag
  • 60 ml of rum
  • 1 packet of yeast
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

Method

  1. Mix the flour, salt, and yeast in a large bowl.
  2. In another bowl, mix the butter, sugar, eggs, brewed tea, and rum.
  3. Combine the butter mixture with the flour components until you get a homogeneous dough.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  5. Shape the dough into a bar and bake it in the oven at 180°C for 25-30 minutes.
  6. Let the bar cool down, then cut it into pieces about 1 cm thick.
  7. Re-bake the pieces in the oven at 160°C for 15-20 minutes until they turn golden.
  8. Let the biscuits cool before serving them with a cup of tea.
