A classic of Minas Gerais cuisine, the condensed milk pudding is sweet and creamy, perfect for a family evening.

Ingredients
- 400 ml of condensed milk
- 100 g of sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon of flour
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla powder
- 1 tablespoon of water
- A pinch of salt
Method
- In a bowl, mix the condensed milk, sugar, eggs, flour, water, and a pinch of salt.
- In another bowl, mix the cornstarch with a little water and add it to the first mixture.
- Add the vanilla powder and mix well.
- Check the consistency and, if necessary, add more condensed milk to achieve the desired consistency.
- Pour the mixture into a baking dish and bake in a preheated oven at 150°C for about 45-50 minutes, or until the pudding is golden and fully set.
- Let it cool and serve chilled or at room temperature.
The story
Condensed milk pudding originates from Minas Gerais, where it was first created in the 19th century as a way to use the relatively expensive condensed milk product.
