Ingredients

  • 400g of potatoes
  • 200g of onions
  • 200g of carrots
  • 100g of prawns
  • 200g of bacon
  • 2 liters of beef broth
  • 1 onion
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 100g of lentils
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Peel and cut the potatoes into cubes, slice the carrots, and slice the onions.
  2. In a large skillet, sauté the bacon with the onions and garlic.
  3. Add the carrots and potatoes, sauté for a few minutes.
  4. Add the beef broth, lentils, and peppers, cover, and cook on medium heat for about 30 minutes.
  5. Add the prawns and cook for another 5-10 minutes, until the prawns are cooked.
  6. Arrange the coddle in a serving dish, season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot with a slice of toasted bread.
