Ingredients

  • 4 chickens, cut into pieces
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 zucchinis, diced
  • 200 g of lettuce, chopped
  • 200 g of porcini mushrooms
  • 200 ml of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 liter of chicken broth
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 100 g of flour
  • 100 g of butter

Method

  1. In a large pan, sauté the onions in olive oil until they become translucent.
  2. Add the carrots and zucchinis, sauté for another 5 minutes.
  3. Add the chili powder and sugar, stir well.
  4. In a separate pot, melt the butter with the flour and gradually add the chicken broth, stirring constantly.
  5. Add the chicken meat to the pan with the vegetables and sauté for 10 minutes.
  6. Pour the flour broth into the pan with the chicken meat, stirring well.
  7. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer slowly for 30-40 minutes, adding lettuce and porcini mushrooms for the last 10 minutes.
  8. Serve the cazuela in a serving dish, ensuring it is warm.
