Ingredients

  • 4 small chickens, cut into pieces
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 1 zucchini, sliced
  • 1 pumpkin, sliced
  • 1 chili pepper, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 liter of chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup of cooked pears
  • 200 grams of bread slices
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar

Method

  1. In a large pan, sauté the onions in olive oil until they become golden.
  2. Add the chicken and cook over medium heat until well done.
  3. Add the peppers, zucchini, and pumpkin, and cook for another 15-20 minutes.
  4. In a pot, mix the chicken broth with salt and pepper, then add the chicken and vegetables.
  5. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer over medium heat for 1-2 hours, until the chicken is very tender.
  6. While the chicken is cooking, prepare the bread fritters: fry the bread slices in hot oil until they become crispy.
  7. In a bowl, mix the eggs, sugar, and cooked pears.
  8. Dip the bread fritters in the egg mixture and place them on top of the chicken in a baking dish.
  9. Cover with the chicken broth and bake in the oven at 180°C for 15-20 minutes.
