Chả Quay
A traditional Vietnamese dish, chả quay is a crispy delight with a unique taste.

Ingredients
- 1 kg of beef or pork
- 2 onions
- 1 red onion
- 100 g of ginger
- 50 g of chili
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 2 eggs
Method
- Cut the meat into small pieces and mix with ginger, chili, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
- Marinate the meat for 10-15 minutes, then let it rest for 30 minutes.
- While the meat is resting, chop the onions and red onion into small cubes.
- Fry the onions and red onion in a large bowl until golden brown.
- Add the fried vegetables to the meat and fry for 5-10 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with a little water.
- Mix the meat and vegetables in a bowl and coat them with the beaten eggs.
- Form small balls and fry in a hot pan until golden and crispy.
The story
Chả quay traces its origins back to the 17th century, when it was served during imperial celebrations in Hanoi. Today, it is a popular dish across all of Vietnam.
